Where the market is going
Crypto has moved away from airdrops and points programs toward traditional assets and markets operating onchain. Tokenized equities and real world assets are exploding in popularity, and the direction of travel is no longer in question.
Assets arriving is only half the story. The half discussed less is what gets built on top of them, because a single underlying exposure can be recombined into dozens of different shapes depending on who is buying. A trillion dollar category with almost nothing onchain
In traditional finance, structured products are a massive, trillion dollar market. An instrument with a defined risk and a defined payoff, sold to people who would rather hold an exposure in a particular shape than hold it raw.
Onchain, effectively none of it exists.
There is enormous demand for control over risk profiles and defined payoffs. Almost nothing has been built to serve it. The category has been gated by jurisdiction and account size for as long as it has existed, and not because the instruments are exotic. It is because somebody has to price, paper and administer each one for a single client, and that cost never scaled down.
Why this is possible now
We believe crypto rails and infrastructure are now in a position where these markets can be onboarded at scale. Verifiability does the work credit risk used to do. Collateral, payoff logic and settlement conditions sit in public and are enforced identically for everyone, rather than promised in a document and honored at somebody's discretion. Pricing and redemption run continuously, and one more holder costs almost nothing to serve.
The result is that traditionally gated markets stop being gated. A market previously sorted by geography and account size becomes reachable to anyone.
Introducing Renzo Basis
Renzo Basis lets anyone earn perp basis yield and keep all of it.
The strategy buys BTC spot and shorts an equal-sized perpetual against it. Price moves on the two legs cancel each other out, so the position stays market neutral. What it earns is the funding rate that leveraged longs pay shorts, settled hourly on Hyperliquid.
This trade has paid professional desks for years, and the whole position fits in a sentence. Running it well is the hard part. Funding turns negative for stretches, the hedge drifts out of balance as prices move, and the short leg carries a liquidation distance that moves with the market. All three need watching by somebody, continuously, which is why the trade has stayed with desks rather than reaching anyone else.

Fine-tuned control, with safeguards
You choose how the strategy behaves. A preset sets your leverage and decides how each safeguard responds, and three automated safeguards then watch the position continuously.
A hedge guard manages rebalancing when the two legs drift apart. A yield guard handles funding risk, exiting once negative funding has cost more than leaving would. A safety buffer acts on leverage while there is still distance to liquidation.
Any of them can be set to watch only, where it records what it sees and takes no action. That is a real choice with real consequences, and it belongs to you rather than to us.
